About me…

This site originally started as “We Rock… They Roll…” which was created by two spinal cord injury caregivers; Erin and Tara.

However, it took a turn and changed into The Quad’s Wife.

My name is Erin and I am the quad’s wife.  My husband became quadriplegic in 2007 when he broke his neck from a freak accident.  This blog is mine and mine alone.

I am sarcastic.  Extremely unconventional when it comes to spinal cord injuries.  And very blunt about our life.

I love to laugh.  I love to make others laugh.  I have dealt with some serious, SERIOUS things in my life and because of it, I’ve realized that everything else can be a piece of cake.

I work full time.  I am a mom.  I am a caregiver.  I am The Quad’s Wife.

About this blog….

As caregivers, we are complely undervalued in the healthcare community and our voices need to be heard.  We are the project managers of our loved one’s (dis)ability, illness or afflictions.  We are the knowledge centers.

AND while everyone may or may not see our loved one’s (dis)ability or illness or affliction, no one really sees (or admits to) the effect it may (and does) have upon us. Caregivers suffer almost as much from the mental, emotional and physical stress and strain as the person going through it.

I know how hard it is to speak up and admit that, as a caregiver, things are hard and you need help.  I hope to offer help without you even having to ask…  My hope is this site starts getting you to open up about your own journey and struggles.

Feel free to contact me with any questions, comments or concerns.  You are not alone! My email is werocktheyroll@gmail.com.
